Sarah joined the already established and essential bone marrow biopsy department here at the Clin-Path family. Her role will encompass ensuring patient safety, adequate patient chart reviewing, patient education, bone marrow exam and post-procedure guidance to those patients needing this diagnostic procedure. She understands that her patients are often walking a very stressful and uncertain path. Her goal is to always be the patients biggest advocate and to ensure providing the best care possible.
Sarah became a Registered Nurse in 2014 and began working on a cardiac floor at a large hospital. About a year into nursing, she moved the Emergency Department, where she helped develop the trauma program for a soon to be level 1 trauma center. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015 from Northern Arizona University. In 2018, Sarah transferred out of the ED and into the PACU at an ambulatory surgery center while she completed her studies towards Nurse Practitioner. In May of 2020 she graduated from NAU with her Master’s in Nursing and became a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Sarah began her career as a nurse practitioner with a Hand/Plastic Surgeon, where she split her time between the operating room assisting the surgeon, rounding in the hospital and the clinic treating patients. She completed an additional certification and became a Registered Nurse First Assist. During this time, she cared for patients of all ages, with a variety of conditions with quite often significant traumatic injuries to their hands or face.
Sarah and her husband have a toddler who keep them very busy! When she can, she loves hiking, traveling, playing cards with her friends and puzzling.
